“Agrosimex" is a modern enterprise oriented on distribution of plant pesticides, fertilizers and garden accessories (i.e. tools and small horticultural equipment). The company is localised in the greatest orchard-field in Poland, with long- tradition, which is the Grójecki-Warecki Region. Our consumers and clients are producers of fruits and vegetables and also agricultural producers.
Brief history
“Agrosimex" company was established in 1991 in Górki near Mogielnica. Wiesława and Leszek Barański have been its founders and owners. From the beginning of the business, the basic idea of the firm has been to meet the consumers' expectations and to supply best gardeners in the means of production. The owners put an emphasis on co-operation with accredited chemical agents' producers and on professional and modern customer service. Owing to numerous investitions, sales of chemical agents have grown systematically, the logistics have been rationalised and the area of business has been widened. The seat of the company was moved in 1996 to Golian in the commune of Błędów, in the Grójecki District. In 2000 the enterprise was recast from private partnership to Limited Liability Company. To meet growing market expectations, modern warehouses were built, equipped in permanent heating system satisfying rigorous standards of environment protection. Moreover, the original factory shops were established in Belsko Małe, Błędów, Grójec, Konary and Warka. In 2001 storage-trading facility was bought in Błoń near Warsaw and "Fertico", a subsidiary limited liability company, was established handling distribution of products in the north eastern region of Poland. Consecutive company development concerned the creating of Fertilizers' Department that took place in 2004 - most expansive sector of the firm, and commencement of the sales of maize seeds of Hungarian firm, Kiskun, and domestic breeding in 2005. Our company celebrated 15th anniversary of its foundation last year and by that time a modern office block in Goliany was built that currently is a company flagship.

“Agrosimex" employs 60 workers in 8 departments (Sales, Marketing, Administration, Accountancy, Logistics, Fertilizers, Development, Sanitary Hygiene, Horticultural Accessories). Our firm has professional logistic resources - specialised warehouses with the storage area of 12 000 m2 and has own transport fleet (10 delivery vehicles and trucks registered to transport hazardous substances and materials).

Plant pesticides and fertilizers used in fruit-growing account for about 40% products sold by “Agrosimex". Pesticides and fertilizers used in vegetable-growing and potato cultivation account for about 40% sales, while in agricultural production - 20%. Fungicides (60%) predominate in sales, while herbicides and insecticides account for 20%. The essential canal of distribution is wholesale (circa 80%).
Participation in events, awards
Each year “Agrosimex" Company is present at all most important fair and exhibition events in the business.
Company is also engaged in local social activities which can be confirmed by numerous awards, diplomas and decorations (e.g. Award of Mayor of Grójec for sponsoring cultural activity, Cup of “Agro Serwis" Editorial Office for the Best Debut on Corn Days). The firm is also a multiple prizewinner of “Pulse of Business" (“Puls Biznesu") Journal Award - “Gazelles of Business" (“Gazele Biznesu"), awarded to most intensely developing companies.
New projects
The company invests in development and implementation of new ideas and projects. In 2006 signalling system against apple scab has started its functioning.
Currently, there is a research conducted in Fertilizers Department on innovative project called “Fluorimeter" that allows to define the level of micro and macro elements and deficiencies of nutrients in plants, basing on infrared spectrum analysis.
Prospects for the future
There are increase in retail network in the Region of Grójec and Warka to 25 shops and achieving a turnover of 300 000 000 PLN in company marketing plans for coming years. Significant development is expected in the Department of Fertilizers and Sanitary Hygiene. Extension of the seed sector and Horticultural Accessories Department (implementation of new products) has been planned.
